Chasing Motivation
It's Friday.
You're exhausted.
You were super motivated early in the week but couldn't seem to get it back.
You tried.
Tried to remind yourself why you should do the things that you know you should.
But you just don't feel like it all.
You always do this, you think to yourself.
Always.
"I just never stick with anything."
"I try sooo hard, but I always burn out."
And you wonder why you're never motivated and try to figure out what's wrong with you.
You look for tips on how to get motivated, stay motivated, and be more motivated.
And you spend time trying to get there again.
I struggled with this for yeaarrss, and here's what changed the game for me.
I stopped trying to feel motivated.
I let it go completely.
I stopped expecting it.
I didn't chase it.
I didn't make it mean something had gone wrong if I didn't feel it.
I completely flipped the script.
I assumed I wouldn't feel motivated.
And I prepared for that.
I focused on following through even if I didn't feel motivated.
Sure, it's way more fun when you feel motivated, but it's not required.
Doing something in spite of feeling all of the resistance and lack of motivation is way more fun.
You feel like a badass on the other side of that...even if it's messy.
Anybody can show up and follow through when they feel motivated.
That part is easy.
Powerhouses show up and follow through even when they don't feel motivated.
And it's a simple process. Not easy, but simple.
I plan what I need to do, assume I won't feel like doing it, and keep on trucking.
I view motivation as a bonus, not a requirement.
Imagine the compound effect.
It's massive.
My business would be 1/4 of the size if I only followed through when I felt motivated.
And it's so damn fun to know that you will follow through.
No matter what.
I can help you solve this.
You can find out exactly what you need to do to gain some immediate relief, what you need to do to clean all of this up, and how I could help you speed up that process.
