Not enjoying your downtime? This is why...
You work hard all week.
The hustle.
The grind.
Saturday rolls around, and it's your day off.
But you don't enjoy it because you think you should have been more productive.
There's too much to do.
I'll relax later...
...after I get caught up.
...after I increase my revenue/income.
You either give up your downtime to work or spend it going through a mental spin out thinking of all the things you should be doing instead.
Neither is enjoyable.
But, what if the reason you're not able to enjoy your downtime is that you're chasing an emotion?
Chasing security, possibly.
🦄 “I just need a few more clients., you think.”
🦄 “I just need to make more money.”
“And then I can relax, then I'll feel secure.“
But that doesn't work.
The money and the clients can't make you feel secure.
There isn't better than here.
Because wherever you go, there you are.
If you bank your security on things outside of you, you will never feel secure.
There aren't enough clients or money to change that, so you will keep chasing the unicorn.
Security comes from your beliefs.
If you believe that you will always figure it out, you will feel secure no matter what.
If you believe that you don’t really control the results in your life, you will feel insecure, no matter what.
It's never the "clients" or the "money"; it's the belief.
Always.
What is yours?
Which emotion are you chasing?
How would your life change if you woke up each morning knowing that you could handle anything life threw at you? What if you knew deep in your bones that you will always figure it out. No matter what.
How would you show up differently today if you fully believed that? What emotions would you feel instead? Calm? Confident? Secure?
When you are ready to learn how to show up and do big things in your life and fully enjoy your downtime without all of the mental chatter, I can help you. Book your call to learn how.
