Focus on the goal or the process?

Think about one of your goals.

I'm going to use a business revenue example.

Let's say it's to increase revenue by 20k monthly.

This goal is probably plastered everywhere - maybe even on a post-it note (I have a super fun process I use with post-it notes and goals that I will have to share at some point).

Anyway, you know the goal.

It's your primary focus.

You're going to increase revenue by 20k.

Many just set the goal and think if they focus on it enough, it will happen.

Some will have a concrete action plan or strategy that they're going to implement.

Do you have a protocol on what you think it will take to create that result?

Have you created a routine that includes those actions?

Do you track how frequently you take those actions?

Do you analyze the data and the drama at the end of the week?

When you switch your focus to following the process rather than creating the goal, the results will creep up on you.

For example: to create 20k in additional revenue in one month, you'll need to create 5k each week (for the sake of averaging it out).

Here's what I mean by protocol...

What will you need to do to create an extra 5k each week?

  1. Spend two extra hours prospecting

  2. Spend 30-minutes each day brainstorming ways you can increase the value of your offer.

  3. Implement one thing that came up during brainstorming daily.

  4. Spend 30-minutes each day studying/researching a skill that will help you level up your business.

Basically, you're theorizing that the result will be an extra 5k in revenue if you follow the above plan.

Next, add all of this to your calendar, and forget about the 5k.

Focus 100% on showing up the best you can for each of your tasks.

The new goal is to follow the plan.

And at the end of the week, you either:

  1. Celebrate a win (created 5k or even more)

  2.  Analyze the data (what you did/didn't do and why)

  3. Process through the drama (confusion, frustration, uncertainty, etc.)

And then you take what you learned, get back on the saddle, and give it another go.

It helps prevent all of the "it's not working" drama that comes up when you're focused solely on the result.

I do this with my clients week after week.

I do this in my personal life and business week after week.

It's a ton of fun, you'll learn so much about yourself, and you'll blow your damn mind from time-to-time, and who wouldn't want to experience that?

Try this out; it's a slight tweak but makes a huge difference.

And, if you want to fast track it, hit me up.

I will help you:

🎯 Develop your strategies/protocols every week (this is my absolute favorite part of what I do)

🎯 Analyze and Adjust each week.

🎯 Process through all the drama that comes up for you. And it will come up because you're human. If it doesn't, it means you're not going big enough.

🎯 I will keep you from giving up. The drama is the part that causes most people to hit the F--- it button and move on. But all of your valuable lessons are wrapped up in the drama, and I will help you find them.

It's so much simpler than you can imagine, and my focus is to make it as fun as possible for you.
